As part of the Technology Committee we are responsible for reviewing (and suggesting changes to) the UWP website as well as the UWP’s component of the departmental community Moodle resources. I’ve listed our official objectives below:
• Review the website and the UWP’s component of the department community Moodle resources:
• The website will be aimed at the general public: how should we present the UWP to the general public? What’s not there that should be? What’s there that shouldn’t be?
• The community moodle page is aimed at teachers: what should it look like? What needs to be there? What needs to go?
o What is the best online platform for us to share ideas and resources? Does the UWP need a separate site, or listserve?
o What is the best online platform for us to share ideas and resources? Does the UWP need a separate site, or listserve?
• After reviewing the sites and discussing with committee, produce a report or set of suggestions to Nancy regarding the website, and Lindsay Head and Christine Jeansonne regarding Community Moodle.
• Come up with a proposed agenda for the committee going forward: maybe how to encourage better use of tech in classrooms, for instance.
